Coaching evokes change. It’s a practical, client-led way to discover what’s important to you and what you want to achieve. It helps you become more aware of — and connected to — your inner resources and creativity. Coaching gives you more choices, and more options, for navigating what’s next. It offers you an advantage through identifying the steps to realizing your dreams. Ultimately, coaching is about learning and transformation, empowering you to discover your unique path to a fulfilled and rewarding journey.

We all encounter times when we feel stuck, lacking traction or clarity. There are times when we feel caught up in negative thoughts or self-doubt. We can all find ourselves unclear on our purpose at times, falling short of our potential, or feeling distant from our goals — perhaps not even sure of what those goals are anymore. We spend valuable time and energy spinning our wheels, unable to make progress, and mired in uncertainty. We sense we are capable of much more, yet we struggle to find practical solutions. We may even excel in one area — like work or parenting — yet struggle in others. How is it that we can be so robust in one aspect of our lives and yet unable to translate that success onto others?

Sometimes we need to be challenged. Sometimes we need to dig a little deeper into who we are to get to where we’d like to be. And we always need to be championed. This is where coaching can help. You don’t have to do this alone, and neither does it have to be laborious. Coaching can be fun, challenging, stimulating, and creative. By working together with a professional coach you can tap into your potential more quickly than you thought possible, and enjoy the process too.

Coaching isn’t therapy, we don’t try to mend the past. Instead, we start with the premise that you are already resourceful and creative and know more about yourself, and your world, than anyone else. Through coaching we explore the benefits of different perspectives. What’s essential to us now? How can we find clarity about what’s truly important? What connects with our values? What are the patterns we’re too close to see and how best to change the ones that no longer serve our purpose? How do we get back on track and then stay on track? The right coaching relationship can help with all of this.

Coaching is tailored discretely to each individual. No one approach works for everyone. None of us face the exact same challenges in exactly the same way. Trust and authenticity are at the heart of all good coaching relationships and a good chemistry and rapport with your coach is important while you work together. This is why I offer a free 30-minute introductory session to give us the chance to get to know each other before making any commitment to working together.

FAQs

  • I work using the Co-Active framework of coaching. Co-Active coaching explores different ways of being and doing, enabling us to access more of our innate resources and potential. It’s a simple and elegant model, and it’s highly effective.

We’ll talk about whatever it is that you bring into the room—this can be any topic—and though the course of our conversations we’ll learn more about where you are, what’s important to you, where you might have limiting beliefs, what perspectives can be more useful or empowering to you, and how you want to be accountable to what you discover. There’s no wrong place to start and often the most revealing moments are found in the most everyday details and situations.

We’ll move at your pace, discussing whatever it is that you want to explore in as much detail as you feel comfortable with. I adhere to the ICF code of ethics and all of our conversations are strictly confidential.

  • Our first session will focus on discovery where I’ll learn more about the particular situation or subject you’d like to work on. I’ll begin to explore your values with you and what’s important to you so that we can reference these aspects together, a personalized constellation to navigate by. We’ll also discuss the parameters of our working relationship which includes anything you might need from me or any details you’d like to have clarified. We’ll retain the right to redesign our working relationship at any time as it develops.

I am rooted in humanistic philosophies focussing on kindness, empathy, and sincerity. A key to good coaching is in the quality of the relationship and I’ll bring clarity, honesty, and transparency to foster a trusting, productive, and protected working atmosphere.

We start where you are and work from there. I already know that you’re resourceful (you’re looking for coaches for a start!) and creative (you would not be imagining a clearer purpose or different path if you weren’t) and you know your world better than anyone. My job is to help you excavate the most useful, rewarding, and essential aspects of your character and find a way to apply those to the areas you’re interested in improving.

Most of all, our time together should be fun, friendly, and totally focussed on your coaching needs. At times the work might be challenging, but only as challenging as you’re comfortable with. In coaching you are very much in the driving seat, and you will be ultimately defining the terms and depth of the relationship as we go. I have only one focus and that’s a commitment to getting you the outcome you want.

  • Over the phone or online via Zoom.

  • Coaching sessions are an hour each and available in a variety of packages depending upon what you’d like to work on or towards. I recommend between 3-6 regularly scheduled monthly sessions initially, with longer commitments or bi-monthly sessions if you’re working through any ongoing and dynamic situations. I offer standalone sessions for when that’s a better fit.

As with all forms of self-improvement, there’s an element of putting in a little time both in order to reap the rewards in the short term, and to allow you to internalize what you’ll discover over the long term so that it becomes second nature and more readily available to you when you need it and beyond our sessions.

I keep my pricing flexible so that coaching is available to everyone and I offer a sliding scale of rates, which we can discuss during our introductory conversation.

Coaching is paid for in advance, and we can discuss payment schedules on our call too.
